Located in the Fingerlakes, NY, Chef Samantha Buyskes is not only an established private Chef but a Culinary Ambassador and event planner. For her branding, I wanted to convey her roots in the area by using a root vegetable in the shape of the Fingerlakes. From this initial project, she also established her live fire cooking business called “FLX Farm to Fire”. For Chef Samantha, I have designed her website, private event menus, business cards, & culinary tour travel pages.
DRINK HISTORY PODCAST
Drink History Podcast is a personal project of mine. Released on every Wednesday where all podcasts are available, this podcast is about the history of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and any fermented beverage. We discuss the link between our past, and what’s in our cups.
The idea of the branding was to utilize muted prime colors for an eye catching podcast cover to stand out amongst the rest on Apple & Spotify podcasts. The bottle image pouring liquid into the universe is to express the wealth of knowledge we know, and still don’t know about the origins of most of human food & beverage.
FLMAC LOGO
The Finger Lakes Martial Arts Center needed a refresh and a rebrand. Given the starting imagery prompt of a fist in a front facing punching motion, I wanted to evoke strong, powerful, and traditional colors along side a circular logo able to be applied to any signage, equipment, or merchandise.
The balance of the powerful red, the strong black lettering, and the yellow stroke countered with the white transparent fist. The text wrap was amended to fall on the descender and ascender lines for legibility.

CHOSEN FAMILY RECIPES
The idea for this book project came from the concept of family recipes being handed down through the generations. Sadly, the fact that the LGBTQAI+ community experiences a lot of issues at home after coming out leaves many of us finding people we call family, but aren’t biologically related to us. We find a chosen family.
