CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR STATECRAFT DIGITAL*

Statecraft Digital is a holistic digital communications agency & strategic partner to candidates, political organizations, PAC’s, and movements. As the Creative Director, part of my role is to work with the managing partners and account managers to create animated ads, HTML ad sets, rich media ads, website design, logos, branding, video treatments, video animation, and political mail pieces for our clients. I also oversee freelance designer project management, and focus on the firms branding as a whole.
ANDREW WARREN
Andrew Warren is the duly elected State Attorney for Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County/Tampa, FL.
On August 4, 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis blindsided Andrew Warren and the Tampa Bay community by unilaterally suspending Andrew from office. Claims made by DeSantis include that Andrew declined to prosecute cases related to an unconstitutional abortion ban and gender affirming healthcare laws that do not currently exist in Florida.
My role as senior designer was to build on his established logo and re-invent it for his campaign to be reinstated back into office. We launched his new brand and donation website in August 2022.
MAIL PIECES
I know what you’re thinking… who does political mail pieces anymore? The answer may surprise you… almost all of them.
The trick to political mail pieces is basically to come to terms with the fact that people are going to throw them away. My job as a designer is to grab people in the time and distance from their mailbox to the trash… or maybe if we are lucky, the fridge for election date reminder.
Mail pieces are a huge asset and essential for name recognition in local elections.
My job is to make sure the name catches your eye long enough so you remember it at the polls.
DEFEND DEMOCRACY NOW
Defend Democracy Now, Inc. is a 501(c)4 organization, and is a movement to expose the overreach of authority by public officials and the resultant danger posed to American democracy. For this project I developed the logo, branding guide, digital assets, and website design.
